John George first came to Lakeside as a teen in 1967 and received Christ as Savior.

He was called to preach and served the Lord in Virginia and New Jersey. It was in 1990 that he moved back to South Carolina and joined the staff at Lakeside.

His wife, Ruth, and he have two sons and seven grandchildren for whom they are very thankful.

John is now serving on a part time basis, working as Outreach Pastor and teacher of the Joy Class. He enjoys camping, outdoor walking, and building projects. The Joy Class is highly recommended by him for senior adults as a most loving and friendly group of people.
